SHOCKING: Ebonyi State Students Studying Abroad to be Deported For Non-Payment of Fees.
Some student who hails from Ebonyi State and are studying abroad under the scholarship scheme of the state government have cried to the top if their voices over their possible ejection from their various schools after the state government stopped paying their tuition fees and other expenses.
They are all accusing the administration of Governor David Umahi for leaving and abandoning them since the year 2015.
The students made it known that may be sent back home from the different countries where they are studying abroad.
In a statement which was issued by Udochukwu B. Akuru, who is a third year doctoral student in Electrical Machines, in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Stellenbosch University, South Africa, stated that the students are appealing to the governor to come to their rescue from being deported back home.
The students stated that the deadline that was issued to them so as to pay up their fees or their admission confirmation will be withdrawn has expired in the month of May, 2016.
“What this means is that our admission will be terminated and the immigration office will be contacted that we are no longer students and at the risk of being sent back home.
“It also clearly shows that we will lose a whole two to three year of our hectic research work with no certificate at all, and knowing that the fees that were paid previously by the state government will all be a waste.
