It was stated in the recording, “the bombing that took place on Monday morning was carried out by our brothers.”
Presiident Muhammadu Buhari has strongly condemned the attack on the mosque.
He made it clear that for the fact that Shekau and his fellow terrorists targeted a place of worship and an Ivory tower clearly shows that they do not know the true meaning of Islam.
He further stated that the acts of Boko Haram are cowardly, criminal, unjustifiable and punishable before God Almighty and the laws of the land.
This attack came after the Nigerian Army stated that they have broken the strength of the group in the famous Sambisa forest.
