President Buhari frowns at fresh killings in Kaduna Community

The nation’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, has urged all those responsible for the communal and persistent violence in Kaduna State to quickly realize the fact that there is no winner in mutual violence but both sides losing.

Not less than 10 people were murdered in Sanga local government area of the state on Saturday, according to a local official.

Residents say the attack was a reprisal and was carried out by suspected herdsmen who suffered some attack before the recent elections.

While reacting to the unending killings in Kaduna State, the President states, “I am so troubled by the fact that the lives of humans are now been treated with no respect, when people derive so much joy in in shedding the blood of others or perceived enemies.”

“No leader with a heart would go to bed calmly when citizens are killing one another on account of ethnic and religious bigotry,” he said.

Buhari said that the government is doing all it can for citizens to be protected, while the communities also must put their shoulder to the wheel in order to find a lasting solution.

Lastly, he also made an appeal to warring communities to stop restraining the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA’s efforts to deliver food, medicines and temporary shelter to those who have been affected by violence and are in urgent need of assistance.
