POLICE RECRUITMENT: Applicants Hits 806,646

The PSC (Police Zervice Commission) has made it known that the applicants for the available 10,000 police jobs are now 806,646.

This was contained in a statement that was issued by Ikechukwu Ani, who is the commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations Unit, yesterday in Abuja.

The statement further stated that: “As at 9:35am on Wednesday, 27th April, 2016, 806,646 applicants have so far sent in their applications.

“A proper breakdown shows that 232,857 applied as ASPs, 190,415 as Inspectors and 383,374  as Constables. Submission of forms ends on the 13th of May, 2016, which gives applicants six weeks.

The commission is emphasizing that the application is free for everyone, and said that there has been reports of fraudsters asking for payments to be made so that they can help an applicant secure employment.

Mike Okiro, who is the commissions chairman, has warned that no one should take money from anyone, stating that anyone caught will be prosecuted and dealt with.
