The governor of Imo state, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has been mocked by BBC News Igbo, for erecting a President Muhammadu Buhari-like statue in Owerri, the state capital.

While displaying the photos of the erected statue on its Facebook page, the British medium wondered if the governor was never tired of erecting statues.

The Igbo caption to the images simply translates, “seem like Okorocha is not tired of erecting statues, who is he erecting for Imo people again?”

The governor was not given a certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, yesterday, after he was adjudged to have forced the Returning Officer for Imo West Senatorial District to indicate him as winner of the February 23rd Senatorial election.

Uche Nwosu, who is the Son-in-law to the governor, also lost his governorship bid to the candidate of the PDP, Hon. Emeka Ihiedioha.
