NYSC: Five Corp Members Died During Service Year in Kano
The NYSC has lost a total of five corps members to the cold hands of death in Kano state during their compulsory service year in the state and fatherland.
Mr. Abdullahi Yusuf Baba, who is the Kano State NYSC Coordinator, made this revelation known on Thursday during the passing out parade of the 2015 Batch “A” corp members. He also said that a number of 30 corp members will not be rounding off their programme due to the fact that they’ve been sanctioned for various offences, which goes against the laws governing the organization.
The Coordinator also made it known that a total of 2360 corp members have completed their one-Year service without any problems and would be issued their certificates after the parade.
The Coordinator urged the outgoing corp members to make use of the training they’ve undergone while in their service year, saying that they should use their ideas to create things that’ll improve the country’s economy.
He also thanked the government and the entire people of Kano State for the unending support they’ve given to the scheme.
The Governor of the state said to the outgoing members, that they could be a boss of their own by making agriculture their sources of income. I am urging you to make a good use of all the opportunities around you, the governor said.
