NYSC: Eight Corps Members to Repeat their Service Year in Kaduna.
Eight Batch B 2015 Corp members of the National Youth Service Corp who were deployed to Kaduna State, are all to repeat their stay and service year in the State.
Mohammed Momoh, who is the NYSC Coordinator in the state, made this known on Thursday during the POP of the 2,837 members of the batch.
Mr Momoh made it clear that eight of the corp members disappeared just immediately they had their orientation last year.
He also stated that 15 other corp members had their time extended for improper conduct, going against the rules and regulations of the corps.
“This is intended as punishment for corp membere who have in one way or another violated the rules and regulations of the corps,” he said.
The coordinator also stated that a number seven corp members lost their lives during the service year.
It was also stated that three corp members were winners of the stare’s merit award, the chairman’s award went to seven others, while 10 other corp members won the state coordinators’ commendation award.
He praised the government of the state alongside the people of the state for their financial and moral support to the corps.
The coordinator advised the corp members to make use of the skills they’ve acquired during their service year in future and be a good and reliable ambassadors of Nigeria.
