The Northern Democratic Forum (NDF) has frowned at a statement traced to Lai Mohammed, who is the Minister of Information and Culture, in which he accused the PDP alongside its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of sabotage, saying it is unfortunate.

The Chairman of the Forum, Malam Jibril Tafida, who carried out the observation, made it clear that the statement perfectly fits into the administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) blame game matrix.

“Since the year 2015, the ruling party and the Federal Government has abandoned its responsibilities of safe guarding lives and property in the country and keeps recycling excuses for its inefficiency.

“”Last week, the same kind of excuses were made but was made by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai, blaming the spate of killings on the politicians who lost last elections.

“Following that, the Minister of Information and Culture accused PDP and Atiku Abubakar of sabotage, finding ways to make Nigeria ungovernable,” he said.

He further said that the Minister has failed to back up his claims that the opposition party has carried out inciting ‘’public utterances and poorly thought-out press releases,’’ beyond carrying out legitimate concerns over possible conflict of interests regarding Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa.

“The masses are obviously sick and tired of the federal government, with its ways of blaming everyone but President Buhari, the nation’s Chief Security Officer.

The issues with the Nation’s security is terrible and alarming that even the Senate had to describe the Kaduna-Abuja road as the most dangerous road in Africa due to the activities of kidnappers and armed robbers.

“At the moment, some northern states are under serious siege as bandits have made life uncomfortable for residents. Some of these residents have relocated to Niger republic in order to save their lives.

“With all these happening, instead of looking for a lasting solution to the unending crimes/killings that that have become the lot of most Nigerians, the APC government is trying to find something or someone to pin it on. A very clear case of giving a dog a bad name in order to hang it.

“Nigerians have listened to so many excuses in the last 4 years and would not accept any attempt by the APC government to intimidate the presidential candidate of the PDP to accept what even international community see as an open rape on our democracy,” Tafida stated.
