Nigerian Senate adjourns its Plenary till January 16th

The Nigerian Senate has adjourned all its plenary till the 16th of January, 2019.

The motion was moved by Ahmed Lawan, the senate leader, after the plenary session on Thursday.

While he moved the motion, Ahmed Lawan thanked the colleagues from the opposition, staff of the National Assembly, journalists and others ‘who made 2018 a successful year’.

The motion was supported by Philip Aduda, a senator from the FCT.

Ike Ekweremadu, who is the presiding officer, wished all Nigerians a Merry Christmas and advised them to always drive carefully.

The lawmakers thereafter adopted the motion via a voice vote.
