Earlier after the jail break, the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has raised an alert on the various threats on the state prisoners escaped from the Koton Karfe Prison.

A Jail break had earlier took place at the Koton Karfe Medium Security Prison located in Kogi State on Saturday, where a total of 13 prisoners broke their cells and made a run through the fence.

3 inmates from the 13 are convicts.

They broke the wall of the fence and immediately escaped into the bush.

This is the third time prisoners have escaped from this facility which is a cause for alarm on the level of the security in the area.
