Kaduna State Govt Imposes Curfew In Kajuru, Parts Of Chikun

Following the renewed violence in Kajuru community leading to the death of many indigenes, the Kaduna State Government has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew on Kajuru Local Government Area and parts of Chikun Local Government Area as well.

According to Samuel Aruwan, Spokesman for the State Governor, following security assessment of the situation in the affected areas, the Government has decided to imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in the entire parts of Kajuru Local Government Area, while Kujama and Maraban Rido in Chikun Local Government Area would also be under curfew.

Security Update: KDSG imposes dusk to dawn curfew in Kajuru LGA, parts of Chikun LGA

Security assessments have necessitated the imposition of a dusk to dawn curfew in all parts of Kajuru Local Government Area, effective from today, Wednesday, 13th March 2019. The dusk to dawn curfew is also extended to Kujama and Maraban Rido, which are in Chikun local government.

A Kaduna State Government statement stated that the curfew in the affected areas will be in effect from 6pm to 6am daily, until further notice.

Security agencies have been directed to ensure strict enforcement of the curfew. The Kaduna State Government appeals to all residents and communities in the affected areas to bear the inconvenience of the curfew and cooperate with the security agencies.
