Kaduna State captures Biometric Data of 2,200 intending Hajj pilgrims

The Biometric Data for over 2,200 intending pilgrims of 2019 Hajj of the Kaduna State Muslim Welfare Board has been captured.

Yunusa Abdullahi, who is the Board’s Public Relations Officer, stated this to journalists in Kaduna while giving an update on the registration of the intending pilgrims.

It was reported by our source that 2,200 pilgrims had been captured out of 6,636 hajj seats allocated to the state for this year’s hajj.

Mr Abdullahi stated that the biometric data capture of the intending pilgrims began last week.

According to him, the biometric registration is very important for the issuance of visa to Saudi Arabia as introduced by the Saudi Government.

“Any failure to participate in the exercise would disqualify the intending pilgrims from performing the hajj.

“We are hoping by next week, all intending pilgrims would have been registered,” he stated.

He gave an advice to all intending pilgrims to approach the welfare board before the end of the exercise.
