Kaduna NLC Vows To Alleviate Workers Plight

Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress,( NLC) kaduna state chapter. Comrade Adamu Ango has expressed the determination to ensuring the elevation  of workers plight in the state.

He stated this during the NLC  nationwide protest against to show their anger over the delayed implementation of the new minimum wage on Tuesday  at the  secretariat in kaduna .

Comrade Adamu Ango explained that the organized labour joined the nationwide protest over the delay by president Muhammadu Buhari led government in transmitting the recommendations of the tripartite committee in th national minimum wage to the national assembly .

According to him, the protest followed President Buhari statement that the high powered technical committee would be set up to device ways to ensure that it’s implementation did not lead to an increase in the level of borrowing .

He said the organized labour in the State and the entire work force in the country was determined to ensure that the thirty thousand naira  minimum wage agreed is fully implemented .

Comrade Ango condemned in totality, the assertion that the organized labour was being used by the opposition, saying that the demand for the increased in minimum wage became imperative following the current economic reality in the country

The labour boss lampooned the state governors for saying they can’t pay the  thirty thousand naira minimum wage .

“Everything about them has been taken care of by the government with huge sums of money.
“Same people hide under security vote to spend any amount of money without being audited, but for workers to be paid N30,000 they are saying no’, he said .
