KADUNA CRISIS: Herdsmen Kills 3 People in Fresh Zangon Kataf Attack
Regardless of the curfew imposed on Zangon Kataf, Kaura and Jema’a local government areas, three persons have been murdered again in another attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Samaru Kataf, Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State.
The fresh Zangon Kataf attack came after a letter was written by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN), Kaduna State chapter dated 10th Jan, 2017, where it gave hints of an attack that might be carried out by the group in Samaru Kataf of Zangon Kataf local government area.
The letter, which had MACBAN Kaduna state chapter letterhead with the content written in Hausa language, specifically stated they would attack Ugwan Gaiya and Mabushi in Zangon Kataf local government area in no distant time.
While the attack was going on, the government of Kaduna State brought back the 24-hour curfew that was earlier relaxed in the three local government areas.
The government gave the announcement and state that the curfew is to take effect from Yesterday, Tuesday, 17 January, 2017, until further notice,” the statement read.
The curfew was restored after some security threats in Samaru-Kataf where the market was attacked by hoodlums, this was contained in a statement from the government signed by Samuel Aruwan.
The government has advised all citizens to give all security forces the cooperation needed as they restore peace and order.
