Insecurity: El-Rufai in Emergency meeting with all Heads of Security Agencies

Witnessing high rate of kidnapping by abductors who murder their victims, the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has held a security meeting with all heads of security agencies, political leaders and traditional rulers in the state.

The meeting which was held behind closed doors, targeted at finding a lasting solution to the high rate of kidnappings and also killing of its victims, and also ensuring total peace and security of lives and properties across the state.

In the month of January, it was witnessed in Kaduna State the three deadly kidnappings in which the victims were shot.

On the 8th of January, four seminarians were kidnapped at a seminary school by some armed men dressed in military uniform, three were later released but the fourth one was murdered.

Later that same month, one Dr. Philip Ataga’s house was stormed by armed bandits, who totally overpowered the local vigilante killing one of its members, made away with the Mrs Phillip Ataga and her two children.

The Wife was later murdered while still demanding for N20 million ransom for the two children.

On two different occasions, passengers of the ever-busy Abuja-Kaduna train were attacked on their way home from the train station by some suspected kidnappers.

On Sunday, a suspected suicided bomber named Nathaniel Samuel, attempted to bomb a Living Faith Church in Sabon Tasha, Chikun LGA before the attempt was foiled and he was arrested.  

The statement which was released and signed by Mr Samuel Aruwan, who’s the Kaduna state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, stated that “The Governor of Kaduna state, Malam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai on Tuesday presided over an emergency security meeting.
