The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, on Tuesday made it known that most of the people who participated during the Presidential Rally of the Peoples Democratic Party, which was held in Sokoto on Monday were brought in from neighboring Niger Republic.

The governor stated this during the inauguration of his campaign committee in Kaduna.

According to him, the Opposition party brought in these people all in the name of to show that they have supporters and “because the indigenes Sokoto refused to attend the rally.”

He vowed that his party will do all it takes to make sure that looters and criminals does not return to power in 2019.

“People with dark intentions have ganged up against President Muhammadu Buhari. The PDP headed to Sokoto for a rally and brought in people from Niger Republic.

“They needed to force Nigerians to think that they have lots of supporters because the people of Sokoto refused to attend.

“It should be known that on the very day that the President will visit Kaduna State, everyone that will receive him will be Kaduna indigenes and not people brought in from Niger.

“We will do our best to fight for every vote and convince our people to do the right thing,” he said.
