Forgery of Senate Rule: Saraki, Others Granted Bail.
A federal high court located in Abuja has granted Dr. Bukola Saraki, who is the senate president, alongside his Deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and the fourth defendant bail, due to the charges of standing rules forgery of the Nigerian Senate.
The decision of bail was made known on Monday when they made themselves available before the court.
The accused were asked by the court to bring two sureties, Men or women who are all Nigerians.
It was also clearly stated that the sureties presented must be owners of properties in Asokoro, Maitama, Garki or Wuse II in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Justice Yusuf Halilu, who is the trial judge, made it known that the accused would taken to Kuje Prison, if they did not meet all the necessary bail conditions.
All proceedings has been adjourned till the 11th of July for the trial to commence fully.
