FG to Generate 27000 Megawatts, Says Osinbajo
The Federal Government have made a promise that a total of 27,000 Megawatts of power will be generated in 18 months time, so as to tackle the power supply challenges currently being experienced in the country.
The country’s vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo stated this during a book presentation which was held at Trenchard hall, located in University of Ibadan on Monday.
The vice president also said that the 2016 budget will be implemented in some few days time and the power sector will be given full attention to come up with a lasting electricity supply solutions for the country.
He said that Pipeline Vandalism and the transmission of gas from it’s wells to power plants are the major challenges affecting the supply of power.
Prof Osinbajo also made more emphasis that no public office holders that is found guilty of corruption would go unpunished as the present administration is fully committed to fight and put a stop to corruption in the country.
Oba Otudeko, who is the Chairman of the occasion, asked Nigerians to always remain committed and also appreciate all government efforts.
