Federal Government slashes price of Business Registration

The nation’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has made an announcement that the Federal Government’s approval of a 90-day special window to register businesses at a affordable rate of N5,000 only.

This was made known via a statement which was signed on Tuesday signed by Laolu Akande, his spokesman.

The Vice President was quoted as making the announcement at the launch of the 19th edition of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Clinics in Enugu, made it known that the special window of 90 commenced from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31.

He stated that this was done so as to further ease the process of registering MSMEs in the country.

It was earlier observed that due to cost, a lot of MSMEs were finding it difficult to register their businesses.

“I am happy to let you all know that the government, via the Corporate Affairs Commission, has given approval for a special window of 90 days from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31 to register businesses at a considerably reduced rate of N5000 only, from the previous price of N10,000.”

“This will give more MSMEs an opportunity to formalize their businesses,” he stated.
