El-Rufai Desperate to ‘Expel’ Sen. Shehu Sani, Bribes Party Leaders N3 million

The APC has voiced out alleging that the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has given out N3 million for the Senator representing Kaduna Central Zone, Comrade Shehu Sani, to be expelled from the party.

This was stated on Sunday during a press briefing which was held in Kaduna State.

Abass Mohammed Anni, who is the Kaduna South Local Government Chairman, stated that such kind of move can cause discontent and unrest in the party.

“We are all gathered here today to let you know of some irregular moves by some immoral persons who are working with the orders of the state governor, to create hatred and unrest with the APC in Kaduna State.

“We have been given information by a reliable source that a closed door meeting was held by the advisers to the state governor with some few members of this our Exco and bribed them with the sum of Three Million Naira (N3,000,000.00) so as to encourage the expulsion of one of our most illustrious leader in person of Sen. Shehu Sani,” the statement said.

It further said that it is unbelievable that such kind of thing is showing its head again after the disgraceful time of a Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000.00) bribe that was purportedly given by these same people to carry out the alleged suspension of Sen. Shehu Sani about a year ago.

“At the moment when our stated is been faced with different challenges ranging from cases of kidnapping, armed banditry in Birnin Gwari, Wanton killings that could be likened to a genocide in the Southern parts of the State, it is only a fair thing to do that the governor should put state resources into ending these menace, instead of throwing away resources and wasting valuable time on fighting enemies that aren’t there.

“It is way over a year since the Buhari led administration came into power, other states with a more serious leadership have began different developmental projects, and it is so sad that Kaduna State cannot stand proud of even a single project under its present government. Instead, the government of the state is working to cause hatred in APC Kaduna,” he stated.

He also made it very clear that no one can bribe them to make any shocking move to expel Senator Shehu Sani, who has turned out to be the most visible and also hardworking elected officer in Kaduna State from the APC.

“Let it be sounded clearly that we are fully behind Senator Shehu Sani not because he is one of us but also for his incredible performance since he was elected as senator. We will stand against all the moves that is targeted at deterring him from continuing his magnificent work in the National Assembly and Kaduna State,” he warned.

He further called on the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, the North West Zonal Chairman Alh. Inuwa Abdulkadir, the APC North West Reconciliation Committee Chairman Alh. Aminu Bello Masari and all well meaning Nigerians to act quickly before the Kaduna State Governor and his allies bring down APC in Kaduna State.

“We cannot fold our hands and allow some individuals destroy what we have worked hard for to actualize their selfish political ambitions.

“We are also calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other anti-corruption agencies to investigate these bribery allegations. What gave them the heart to carry out another bribery move of Three Million Naira (N3,000,000.00) was because the bribery of the first Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000.00) was not frowned at. We believe with the help of the EFCC into this bribery allegation will be a further testimony of the Buhari led administrations fight against corruption and deter other from further acts of such kind of criminality act.”
