EDO: 700 APC Members Joins PDP in Ovia.
Not less than 700 members of the APC has defected to the PDP on Wednesday in Ovia North Esat LGA of Edo State.
The members who defected came from different communities in Ovia North East and were led by Mr Friday Ighodaro
Other members of the APC who left the party alongside their supporters are Stephen Osagie, Ifeanyi Okolie, Iredia Samuel and Peter Igbinedion.
Friday made it known that the reason why they left the party was because it is a one sided party.
Osagie on the other hand stated that the reason why the members of the APC from Ulakpa decided to leave the party was because the road that leads to their community was worked on by Barr. Omosede Igbinedion, who is a lawmaker representing Ovia Federal Constituency.
Their defection by the former APC members was announced during a campaign rally of the PDP at Okada, which is the hometown of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom.
In the remarks of Barr Omosede, she stated that it was her Dad, Chief Igbinedion that transformed Okada Village into a town and that Pastor Osagie will further transform it from a town into a city.
Barr Omosede further stated that the APC government put a stop of her projects which includes rural electrification and also a road project at Okun Community in Edo State.
She urged the people of the state to clearly show the ‘SHORT MAN’ that he failed badly through the ballot papers.
Ize-Iyamu said that Adams Oshiomole is putting some attitude like he is going for a third term in the state.
In his own words he said, “I always feel very bad when I listen to Adams Oshiomole placing insults on persons like Chief Igbinedion, who was the one that helped him gain power to what he is today.
Ize-Iyamu made a promise to improve the lives of the people as well as partner with businesses to help develop the whole state.
