For the second time in a space of four months , the combined team of Nigeria Police force and men of the Department of State Security Service, ( DSS) has barricaded the entrance of the National Assembly ,(NASS) complex in Abuja .
Reports from kaduna News Online Correspondent said the security operatives has restricted access at the three arms zone and the operatives are frisking persons including journalists and construction workers before they are allowed entrance.
Meanwhile , staffs of the National Assembly were not allowed in to the National Assembly Complex
It would be recalled that just yesterday the leadership NASS and the leadership of the workers in of NASS ordered security agencies to ensure that adequate security is provided at the National for everyone .However , it is unclear if the directives includes preventing workers from getting entrance into the complex
Workers of the National Assembly under the umbrella body of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria,( PASAN ),on Monday paralyzed activities at the National Assembly in protest of what they called poor working conditions.
Similar protest was held two weeks ago when the workers demanded increased salaries, promotions, among other things.
The demands of members of PASAN include a new condition of service for members, promotion, and payment of 28 per cent increment in salary captured as contained in the 2018 budget.
