Eight killed in Fresh Kaduna Attack – Not less than eight persons which includes two policemen are feared to have been murdered and so many injured during a fresh attack by some suspected armed bandits in Katangi district in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna state.
The attack was carried out barely 24 hours after Mohammed Adamu, who’s the Inspector General of Police, launched a joint security operation to flush out bandits in Kaduna, Niger, Zamfara and Katsina States in recent time.
Even though the authorities of the police have not yet made any confirmation of the incident, Ibrahim Nagwari, who is the Chairman of Birnin Gwari Vanguards for Security and Good Governance, made it known in a statement that the bandits stormed Kakangi around 5.00 pm Saturday evening on motorcycles, shooting sporadically at the police station before proceeding on a house to house attack.
He further stated that most of those that were affected were attending a mass wedding at the palace of the district head when the gunmen began the attack.
It was also said that the bandits carried out a simultaneous attacks in Isiwa, Katakaki, Dakwaro, Burji, Gan, Mashidi, Farno, Ungwar Maiyara and Biski villages , setting houses ablaze and shooting sporadically. – Eight killed in Fresh Kaduna Attack
