At least 10 persons killed in fresh Kaduna Community attack

Not less than 10 persons have been murdered during a latest attack in a community in Kaduna State, a local official made it known.

The chairman Sanga Local Government Council, Charles Danladi, made it known that the attack occurred in Nandu village in the area.

The Chairman told our source in Kafanchan yesterday and 11 houses were burnt down.

This latest attack is coming at a time when the state is trying so hard to control repeated attacks in Kajuru Local Government Area of the state in the last two months.

Lots of people have so far been murdered in communal violence believed to be between the Adara people and their Fulani neighbors.

The state government this week imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in the area.

Mr Danladi, who is the chairman of Sanga local government area, stated that normalcy has returned to the village that was affected by the attack, as local leaders are doing all they can to reduce tension and stop reprisal.

He further said that all the youth in the community had been counselled against anything that might escalating the situation.

A resident of the village who did not reveal his identity told our source that the attack was suspected to have been carried out by Fulani herders in retaliation for an attack on them by locals before the nation’s general election.

He made it known that not less than 11 cows and 28 sheep were killed during that attack.
