APGA,LM guber candidates steps down for Ashiru in guber race in Kaduna

The gubernatorial candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Dr Polycarp Gankon and his counterpart fromLiberationMovement Of Nigeria (LMN), Hon Habila Ezekiel have relinquished there governorship quest in order to boost support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Hon Isah Ashiru Kudan.
Speaking to the press in Kaduna about their support for PDP gubernatorial candidate, Dr.Gankon
said that “We are a force to reckon with in Kaduna State.PDP is not the opposition parrty in the state ,but APGA In 2015 ,it was the only party to challenge APC to the Court of Appeal.”
“APGA is making a decision today not based on monetary consideration but based on the situation in the state today,” he added.
Dr Gankon said that APGA has in view of the happening today have decided to ask all its candidates to stand down from contesting the Governorship election coming up in two weeks time .
“APGA in conjunction with LM party are directing all their members to vote PDP Governorship candidate,
APGA and LM have also resolved to team up with the PDP to remove the APC from office,” he further added.
He however said that candidates of APGA for the state house of election in the following local government area have not stepped down for the PDP as they will contest in the forthcoming house of assembly election.
He identified the local government councils Zango Kataf,Zaria,Kajuru, Chikun,Makera, Kaduna South,Birnin Gwari.
Dr. Gankonn, reiterated further that all APGA and LM supporters should turn out enmass and vote Hon.Isa Ashiru for the office of the governor.
