On Tuesday, a Magistrate Court located in Mpape area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), admitted the Osun governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke, to bail in the sum of N2m.

Senator Adeleke was brought before the court on a five-count charge which centers on alleged false statement and forgery.

The senator however pleaded not guilty to all the charges brought against him and his lawyer, Prince Adebiyi Adeyosoye accordingly moved an application for his bail based on health issues.

But the application was opposed by the prosecution counsel on the fact that the defendant hasnot provided any evidence of his ill health, though, Justice zubaru in his ruling held that he was mindful to grant the bail application.

As part of the bail conditions, the court immediately ordered the senator to produce a surety in like sum, who must be a resident of the court’s jurisdiction.
