Abducted Leah Sharibu reportedly speaks from Boko Haram den, begs Buhari for her freedom

Leah Sharibu, who’s the only Christian girl among the students that were captured by Boko Haram from Government Girls Secondary School in Dapchi, Yobe State, has reportedly voiced out from the den of the terrorists.

The young girl pleaded with the President, Muhammadu Buhari, to help save her from her abductors, the Boko Haram.

Following the public outcry that followed the abduction of the students, Boko Haram had released the girls but refused to set Sharibu free over her refusal to renounce Christianity.

The abducted student stated in a 35 seconds audio which was obtained by TheCable, “I am Leah Sharibu, the girl that was abducted in GGSS Dapchi. I am calling on the government and people of goodwill to intervene to get me out of my current situation.

“I am also pleading to the members of the entire public to give a helping hand to my mother, my father, my younger brother and relatives.

“Kindly help me out of my predicament. I am begging you to treat me with compassion, I am calling on the government, particularly, the president to pity me and get me out of this serious situation. Thank you.”

It is not sure that the voice belongs to Leah as Kaduna News Online cannot make a confirmation of its source at the moment.
