AAC suspends Omoyele Sowore as Chairman, appoints another

Omoyele Sowore has been suspended by the African Action Congress (AAC) as the National Chairman of the party.

This was made known at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja on Monday.

Omoyele Sowore is being suspended for alleged anti-party activities.

Other members of his executive were also been suspended with him.

A new acting national chairman of AAC, in the person of Leonard Nzenwa, has immediately been sworn-in.

The committee gave explanations that Omoyele Sowore was suspended over alleged failure to convene NEC meeting and financial misappropriation.

His suspension is to last for a period of six months except it is overturned by a National Convention of the party.
