500 Women, Youths to be Trained on Different Skills in Kaduna.
In Kaduna, the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations in Kaduna State (KADA CSOs) has promised to engage 500 women and youths on the acquisition of skills such as tailoring/fashion design, leather works, carpentry and welding among others starting from November 14, 2016.
Comrade Zubairu Mukhtar, who is the chairman of the Coalition, made this known on Thursday while speaking to journalists in Kaduna.
According to the Chairman, the training is aimed at providing jobs and raking in income for the women and youths, stating that there’ll be a certification from examination bodies who are notable at the end of the training.
The coalition praised the Executive governor of Kaduna State, Governor Nasir El-Rufai, for his huge strides towards the development of human capital and infrastructure, it immediately agreed to start monitoring and following the projects of the government as well as generate a quarterly report on key projects.
Comrade Zubairu also made it clear that there are several non-governmental organizations/groups with same aim and objectives have been in the state, but all of which are operating individually with different scope.
He stated that there is need for organization s to work together for unity and synergy in purpose and strength in numbers.
“Our moves was commenced gradually and at the moment a total of 535 civil society organizations consisting of 25 state level NGOs, 255 community based organizations and another 255 multipurpose cooperative associations have agreed to come together to form a big coalition in Kaduna,” he further said the aim of the coalition is to bring together all NGOs and CBOs under one platform for unity of purpose and strength in the carrying out of different programmes and projects.
