2019 Elections: PDP frowns at allegation by APC on hiring Russian hackers to manipulate INEC results
Reactions has come out from the camp from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, reacting to an allegation by the APC that they are planning to hire Russian hackers ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The ruling party alleged that the PDP had hired the services of a Russian hacker in order to break into the server of INEC, to manipulate 2019 election results.
While fielding reactions to the allegation, Kola Ologbondiyan, who is the spokesperson of PDP, said he wondered why the APC was making such kind of allegation on behalf of the electoral body.
In a statement which was made during the weekend, Ologbondiyan stated, “Why is it that APC is making these allegations for INEC if they are not planning to rig the 2019 election. Why would they be speaking of a plan that even INEC itself had dismissed the possibility of anything like that of happening?
“This allegation holds no truth and should not be taken seriously for it will be a total waste of time.”
