After three years of Buhari’s adminstration ,there is a national consensus that Nigerians feel far more insecure today than they were in 2015 ,and this feeling of insecurity in Nigeria transcends Boko Haram. So say a former Minister of Aviation in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Osita Chidoke .

According to the former minister, polls from an international organization indicates that 65% of Nigerians feel very insecure and only 35% feel that they are secure .
He further noted that the polls indicates that out of 65% that feel insecure ,25% are threatened by armed robbery ,14 % are threatened by herdsmen/ farmers clash , only 8% are threatened by Boko Haram and kidnapping therefore , the security problem of Nigeria far outweighs Boko Haram challenges as the present administration wants to portray .

He said , that lack of coordination within the security agencies such were witnessed in the Buhari government would be eliminated, adding that ” we will create a single command and control system and organization where all the heads of security agencies will be accountable to one single entity”.
“To fight insecurity we will retool, rekit and reorient security agencies to make them accountable to stakeholders, to make respect the rule of law and to ensure that all security apparatus use cutting edge technology to fight insecurity .”
The Atiku spokesman also said using cutting edge technology , intelligence and less reliance on the military to fight insecurity would be prioritized .He also averred that there would meetings with citizens from all spectre of Nigeria so as to decide how the issue of security would be tackled
“As it is now , the security agencies are more of regime protection .
There would be stakeholders meetings under Atiku and
They would be tutored to think along the lines intelligence ,along the of enforce and along the lines of enforcement “, he surmised.
Restoring citizens confidence in the security agencies will be the number one priority of the Atiku government”.
Mr.Chidoke asked Nigerians to vote out the All Progressive Congress (APC) and vote in Dr.Atiku Abubakar if they want a better security system in the country .
Nigerians are horrified watching daily killing of fellow citizens and would be ready to ensure the present government is sacked.
